Introducing VIDA
Where healing is rooted in truth, culture, and radical self-worth.
VIDA isn’t your typical therapy or coaching space. It’s a bold, affirming, and deeply human approach to mental and emotional wellness—created for people who are tired of surviving and ready to reclaim their lives. Here, we don’t just treat symptoms—we get to the root. We break cycles. We heal out loud.
Whether you’re carrying transgenerational trauma, navigating identity shifts, breaking barriers as a first-gen professional, or just trying to breathe again in a world that asks too much—VIDA is your space to be seen, held, and empowered.
Therapy. Coaching. Evaluation. Real transformation.
Bilingual. Culturally grounded. Trauma-informed. Resilience-focused.
This is where your healing begins—and your power returns.

Make life. Because surviving isn’t enough.
My Desire
My deepest desire is to help you stop merely surviving and start fully living. I want you to feel safe enough to heal, strong enough to break cycles, and empowered enough to create the life you choose—not the one trauma scripted for you.
If you work with me, know this: I will see you, challenge you, and walk beside you—because your story matters, your healing is possible, and you were never meant to carry it all alone.
What you can expect
I believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality mental health care. When someone chooses to work with me, I don’t take it lightly. I know how hard it is to reach out for support—especially when you've spent years being the strong one, carrying generations of pain, showing up for everyone else while putting your own needs last.

About
My name is Kathia J. Rosa
Licensed Psychologist
I began my professional journey in elementary education, where I quickly saw that academic struggles were often just the surface—underneath were deep emotional wounds, trauma, anxiety, and unmet mental health needs. It was in the classroom that my path toward psychology and mental health truly began. I didn’t just witness the impact—it moved me. That’s where I fell in love with this work.
Today, I specialize in working with teenagers and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related disorders. I’m especially passionate about helping clients understand the root of their emotional pain, not just manage the symptoms.
I also proudly offer affirming, trauma-informed counseling to the LGBTQ+ community, with a focus on gender identity, sexual orientation, and the unique experiences of queer and trans individuals. Whether you're questioning, exploring, or healing, my goal is to create a space where you can feel seen, safe, and supported—exactly as you are.
Areas of Expertise
Counseling, Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy & Affirmation Therapy, Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation.

Services

Individual Psychotherapy
Individual Therapy Sessions
Your journey begins with an in-depth 60-minute initial session, where we take the time to explore your history, current concerns, and what you’re hoping to achieve through therapy. After that, ongoing 45-minute sessions provide consistent support and structure for your growth and healing.
In our work together, we’ll identify and unpack the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be keeping you stuck or overwhelmed. We’ll collaborate to recognize negative patterns, develop new strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Every session is held in a nonjudgmental, compassionate space where you’re free to show up fully—whatever that looks like. I offer honest feedback, skilled guidance, and steady support to help you process, heal, and move forward with clarity and confidence.

Couples Therapy
Couples Therapy Sessions
We begin with a 90-minute initial session to gain a deep understanding of your relationship dynamics, shared history, individual concerns, and goals for therapy. This extended first session sets the foundation for the work ahead.
Ongoing sessions focus on helping you improve communication, resolve conflict, and rebuild emotional connection. Whether you're navigating ongoing tension, recovering from a rupture, or simply feeling disconnected, the goal is to create a stronger, more resilient partnership rooted in trust, respect, and mutual understanding.
In this process, I work with you as a unified couple—not as two separate clients—fostering collaboration, insight, and practical tools you can use outside of therapy. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns, explore emotional needs, and develop healthier ways of relating to one another.
This is a space where both of you are heard, supported, and guided—without blame, shame, or judgment.

Psychological/Psychometrics
Evaluations
Psychological & Psychometric Testing
Psychological and psychometric tests are powerful tools used to gain a deeper understanding of an individual’s mental health, cognitive functioning, and personality traits. These evaluations help uncover how a person thinks, learns, processes information, and responds to their environment.
In addition to cognitive and emotional assessments, testing may also explore:
-
Different types of intelligence
-
Psychomotor development
-
Adaptive functioning
-
Visual-perceptual skills
-
Social-emotional development
These evaluations are commonly used to diagnose or rule out mental health and neurodevelopmental disorders in both children and adults. Whether you're seeking clarity around attention issues, learning differences, emotional concerns, or developmental delays, testing provides the insights needed to move forward with confidence, appropriate support, and a tailored treatment plan.
Each assessment is conducted with care, cultural awareness, and the goal of helping individuals better understand themselves—not just through a clinical lens, but as whole human beings.
